The theme for our Spring 2026 ENG 101 online asynchronous course is, "Information Literacy." With a focus on research and citation, we will consider the myriad ways we find, evaluate, and use research in academic writing. This theme provides a strong foundation for academic writing and secondary, or library, research to prepare you for ENG 201.

For Spring 2026, you are invited to think more deeply about What, Why, and How We Write. Three main projects, with smaller process tasks and activities scaffolding each main project (final product), will lead us through our writing journey. We will explore our own experiences, interests, and ideas to move these stories into primary and secondary research which we will share with various audiences. Throughout our course, we will reflect on our learning to see where we have been, where we are, and where we still need to go.
